AMEER SAFONE

Building a National Movement for Inclusion

How we helped Ameer Safone, a disability advocate and entrepreneur, amplify his mission for equality through powerful storytelling, media visibility, and partnerships leading up to Aspirasi OKU 2026.
ROCHE & NOVO NORDISK

The Brief

When we met Amirul Safuan Hj Mohd Ishak, the founder of Ameer Safone Ventures, he wasn’t just building a business, he was building a cause. As a respected OKU (Persons with Disabilities) entrepreneur, his goal was to change how Malaysia saw disability: not as a limitation, but as leadership.
Our task was to help translate his advocacy into national conversation, laying the foundation for the Aspirasi OKU 2026 movement, a national inclusivity and leadership showcase.

The Challenge

In Malaysia, stories around OKU inclusion are often told through charity or sympathy lenses.
We needed to flip the script, turning the narrative from “support” to “empowerment,” and positioning Ameer Safone as a credible, visionary leader driving systemic change. It meant aligning multiple layers, media, government, and corporate — while keeping the story deeply human.

The Strategy

We designed a year-long communications plan rooted in visibility, credibility, and advocacy impact.
  • Built a strong media presence across national and regional outlets — from Astro Awani and BERNAMA to CNA, Tatler Asia, Prestige Malaysia, and Robb Report.
  • Developed the Aspirasi OKU 2026 brand narrative, event positioning, and outreach playbook.
  • Facilitated strategic stakeholder sessions with government, corporate sponsors, and NGO partners.
  • Crafted a spokesperson media kit and storytelling content that humanised Ameer’s journey, from his business challenges to his vision for inclusion.
  • Supported summit planning and event comms, including press material, partnership decks, and sponsorship proposals.
